I started in glass one cold weekend in 1991 in New York city while on a buying trip for a previous men’s clothing business of mine. Taking that class led to further inquiry and working/apprenticing in studios from the east to west coasts and back again. An opportunity opened to work in the UK and my life course was set. Eventually I settled in maritime Sussex county, in my home state of Delaware, after years of traveling and training. I seek to bring all these experiences together in my one-of-a-kind functional pieces. Over the last few years I have been focusing more and more on designing and my private commission work, leaving less time for blowing in the DE studio.
